What we do
RAIL
We support public authorities and private organisations in planning rail projects. We provide the technical analysis behind sound decisions. This work covers demand forecasting, economic feasibility, and the design and operation of the service in line with the realities of each territory.

Our specialist team is equipped for the challenges of rail project planning. That experience and technical depth let us take on complex assignments with assurance and rigour.
Network and service planning
We design options for reshaping rail networks and services that meet people’s mobility needs efficiently, factoring in territorial connectivity and integration with other modes.
Our approach combines technical analysis with a strategic view of each project.
Demand modelling and analysis
We forecast project demand using advanced modelling software, for both passengers and freight. This makes it possible to understand, analyse and anticipate current and future mobility patterns.
We develop scenarios to support decision-making, assessing the impact of new infrastructure or the modification and upgrading of existing assets.
Functional studies of rail operation
We analyse and design the operating model for the rail system in step with the infrastructure available and/or planned.
We design operating schemes, setting out services, frequencies, capacities and requirements for rolling stock and infrastructure.
We assess the operational feasibility of the proposed solutions, ensuring they are consistent with demand, infrastructure and each project’s objectives.
Project feasibility and economic return studies
We calculate and assess the economic viability of rail projects, analysing costs, forecast demand and financial sustainability.
We also keep fully up to date with the regulatory framework, which has a direct bearing on the operation and feasibility assessment of rail projects.
